Your team will need to make a formal presentation to a representative body on the work you have accomplished. Depending upon your Quest project, the body you decide to present to will vary. With each Quest cycle, the body you present to might vary. This is your team's opportunity to demonstrate your accomplishments and to receive feedback from others that have similar goals and/or concerns.
This objective requires extensive planning. Your team will need to identify a body to present to that is impacted by your project OR could impact your project. You will need to figure out when this particular group meets, how to schedule a presentation, rules and regulations for presenting (such as time allotments), resources available at the presentation site, transportation for all team members to the presentation site, and so forth. When structuring your presentation, make sure the purpose of your presentation is clear - What is your group providing? Why should you be taken seriously? What do you need to further progress? What do you need from those watching your presentation?
Some ideas include, but are not limited to: Local Shops Hotels City Council Utilities/Water District ions Club Inland Empire Mini Maker Faire County Public Health Department San Diego Maker Faire County Office of Education School Board High School Advisory Council
Prior to your scheduled presentation, your team will need to practice in front of your Quest class. It is your responsibility to schedule this practice presentation with your Quest coach in advance and to have THIS rubric printed for the presentation date. You may not proceed to presenting to a representative body until your Quest coach has rated your team's presentation "At Standard" or "Above Standard" for all 7 rubric categories.
